Your Responsibilities
All SMCF-funded projects require a final project report submitted within 30 days of project completion. This report helps ensure transparency, demonstrates impact, and keeps your organization eligible for future funding.
If you have questions at any point, please reach out to info@smcf.mx. We’re always happy to help.

We know that small organizations are doing big work, often with limited capacity.
Along the way, SMCF can support you with:
- Project check-ins and informal guidance
- Help clarify budgets, timelines, or reporting requirements
- Advice on documenting impact and outcomes
- Storytelling support (photos, short summaries, quotes)
- Connection to shared tools or resources when available
- A friendly, responsive point of contact throughout your project
You are never on your own. We’re here as partners.
Grant reporting is much easier when documentation happens along the way, rather than at the end.
We recommend:
As your project unfolds:
- Take photos at key moments (start, mid-point, completion.
- Keep digital copies of all facturas related to SMCF funds
- Save bank statements showing deposit and project payments
- Track simple metrics (number of people served, activities completed)
- Capture short quotes or stories from participants or staff
Pro tip: Create a single folder (digital or physical) labeled “SMCF Grant Project” and drop everything there as it happens.
When your project is complete, you’ll submit:
- A brief narrative summary of what you accomplished
- Financial documentation for SMCF-funded expenses
- Impact information (who benefited and how)
- Photos that help bring the work to life
- Required compliance documents
