Grant Seekers

For 50 years, SMCF has partnered with nonprofits doing brave, essential work to strengthen our community. Our grants are designed to support organizations and projects that respond to real needs, deliver measurable impact, and uplift San Miguel’s most vulnerable residents.

Only SMCF Trusted Community Partners may apply for Project Grants or Pass-through Donations. Not yet a member of our Nonprofit Network? That’s step #1.

project grants

Member nonprofits may apply for targeted, project-based funding to benefit the San Miguel community. We focus on early-stage nonprofits with limited access to traditional funding sources, where a modest grant can make a big impact.

We offer two grant cycles each year, with submission deadlines on April 15 and October 15.

Pass-through Donations

SMCF is happy to facilitate U.S. tax-deductible donations on behalf of early-stage nonprofits serving San Miguel de Allende. We review applications for pass-through donations on rolling basis.

our passion

Every grant we make is part of a shared commitment to care, collaboration, and community trust for the city we love.

We don’t just fund projects or organizations. We walk alongside the people behind them, offering guidance, encouragement, accountability, and capacity-building mentorship.

If you’re working to strengthen San Miguel with integrity and heart, we’d look forward to exploring what’s possible. Together.
