Our ROLE

We exist to organize goodwill.

San Miguel inspires love — from residents, visitors, artists, entrepreneurs, and global friends.

But love alone does not build infrastructure. It must be stewarded. Vetted. Directed where it can do the most good. That is our role.

As a community trust, we hold relationships, not headlines. We bring structure to generosity so that San Miguel can grow without losing its soul.

OUr work

Currently, San Miguel is home to 124 registered nonprofits. Throughout our history, we have served 91 of them. We’re proud to have empowered 386 significant community-based projects.

Despite this extraordinary impact, it’s still maddeningly difficult for donors and volunteers to connect with organizations on the ground.

Imagine how much more impact we could have if donors and volunteers had an easy way to give back and plug in.

We are determined to build systems that power impact. Together with our partners, we are growing a vibrant, unified San Miguel de Allende where generosity flows with trust, nonprofits thrive through collaboration, and every resident and visitor sees themselves as part of the community’s shared responsibility.

Our anniversary year is a chance to modernize the way we operate and to make generosity in Mexico feel clear, credible, and culturally grounded.

We want a San Miguel where all donors, wherever they live, can give with confidence. When you invest in our community, you can be certain resources will drive impact.
